Ukraine joins the European Public Law Organization (EPLO), becoming its full member. The respective Law of Ukraine № 2634-IX comes into force on November 04, 2022.
What is EPLO?
EPLO is an international organization founded in 2004. Its purpose is to create and share pieces of knowledge on public law and government, including national, comparative, and European public law, human rights, environmental law, international law, and others.
What are the benefits?
Ukraine’s joining the EPLO shall enable us to seek EPLO experts’ help in adopting Ukrainian national legislation to the European one. Let’s remember that bringing laws and other rules and regulations of Ukraine in compliance with European legislation is an essential prerequisite for Ukraine to enter the EU.Besides, cooperation with the EPLO shall promote the progressive development of education and science in Ukraine.
What spheres do EPLO reforms cover? The main scope of EPLO reforms includes:
- criminal and civil justice;
- human rights;
- commercial and intellectual property laws;
- environmental and agricultural laws;
- state government;
- anti-corruption activities.
